No language certificates are required for native speakers.
However, non-native speakers need to possess at least 1 CEFR B2 or above level language certificate.
Yes, if you are a senior year student and have at least 1 year of teaching experience, you can apply as an undergraduate student.
The working hour is totally up to you!
You will be the one to plot your own time slots. Students place bookings according to your time slots. In another word, you are the one to decide your working hours.
No, there is no minimum working hour required.
However, it's advised to provide at least 20 hours per month to increase your booking rate.
The peak hours are 18:00~23:00 (GMT+8) on weekdays and whole day on weekends.
No, the class time is according to GMT+8.
Yes, as long as you are available to conduct the lesson at that hour, you may plot it.
Yes, there aren’t holidays for online teaching. You provide the hours which you are available to take on bookings.
Since it's an online teaching position, the following items are required:
1. Computer—Desktop/Laptop
2. Stable internet. (Preferred Wired Connection)
3. Headsets (microphone attached)
4. Webcam
To ensure a smooth operation of the HiTutor teaching platform, a minimum of 5 Mbps download and upload speed are required.

No, it's not allowed. Teachers must use computers or laptops to conduct online lessons at HiTutor.
You will find appointed materials on our Teaching platform for the languages below:

-Hindi
*If you are applying for other languages, you’ll need to prepare your own teaching materials.
Of course you can. As long as you use and complete the appointed materials first.
If there are appointed materials for your target language (see the question above), you have to finish teaching appointed materials.
Yes, we do. We provide the following training:
1. System Training:
A series of self-learning files introducing the booking system, class procedure, company policy and more.
2. Teaching Platform Training:
A series of self-learning videos / manuals and a simulated platform to help you to get ready to work from home independently.
1. System Training: 15~20 minutes
2. Teaching Platform Training: 1~2 hours
All training can be completed online at home.
Once you complete and pass our System Training and Teaching Platform Training, your account will be activated and your time slots will be released to take on booking.
Most of our students are Taiwanese, some of them are Chinese. Age from 7 ~70 years old. However, the age does not necessarily indicate their language level.
[Can I choose certain aged students to teach?]
- No, you cannot. Both children and adults can book your class.
Different students have different needs. They might learn the language for better job opportunities, for school, or just for self-improvement.
The lessons will be conducted on our teaching platform.
There are 2 types of lessons, 50 minutes and 25 minutes.
We have both one-on-one lesson and small group class (3~4 students).
Of course not! We encourage teachers to have their own styles as long as it is appropriate and beneficial for learning.
Yes, please turn on your webcam for all classes.
You can start working once you complete all our training.
No, there is no reward program at the moment.
